About Free AI Setup Hub
We help complete beginners run powerful AI models on their own computers — for free, with no credit card and no jargon.
Free AI Setup Hub was created to solve one simple problem: the gap between the people who already understand AI tooling and everyone else. Powerful open-source models and free tools now exist — Llama, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, Ollama, Continue.dev, OpenRouter, Hugging Face — but the setup instructions scattered around the internet assume you already know how to use a terminal, manage environment variables, and reason about API keys. Most people don’t. So they give up before they ever get AI running, and they end up paying for something they could have had for free.
This site closes that gap. Each guide is a plain-English, copy-paste walkthrough that takes you from a blank screen to a working AI coding assistant, local chatbot, or free API integration in under thirty minutes. We cover the most-searched free AI tools of 2026: how to install Claude Code with OpenRouter, how to install Ollama and run LLMs locally, how to get a free alternative to ChatGPT, how to run a coding model like DeepSeek Coder offline, and how to add GitHub Copilot-style autocomplete to VS Code for free with Continue.dev.
Why we built it
AI is the most important skill shift of our generation, and the cost of entry should be zero. The best open-weight models are released for free by Meta, Alibaba, Mistral, DeepSeek, and Google; the software to run them (Ollama, llama.cpp, transformers) is open source; and the free tiers of services like OpenRouter and Hugging Face are generous enough for real work. Everything you need to learn modern AI is already free — the only missing piece was someone willing to explain it step by step. That is what we do.
Who it is for
Writers who want a free ChatGPT alternative. Developers who want a free GitHub Copilot. Students learning to code with an AI tutor that runs offline. Small-business owners who want to automate tasks without a monthly subscription. Freelancers who want to offer AI services on Upwork and Fiverr. Researchers who need private, local inference. And anyone who simply wants to know how this technology works without paying a cloud bill first.
The “make money with AI” mission
Knowing how to run AI is only half the story. AI is also an income engine — for building websites, creating apps, offering freelance services, and launching digital products, even with zero traditional coding experience. If you have followed our guides and want to turn those skills into real income, you can message us on WhatsApp for a free first consultation. We will explain exactly what you can realistically build and earn, and point you to the next guide that moves you forward.
How the site is funded
We keep the lights on through optional support from readers and relevant advertising (such as Google AdSense) on tutorial pages. Ads, when present, are clearly labeled, and we never write a guide to sell you a product — every guide recommends free or open-source tools first. You can contact us for sponsorship, corrections, or new-guide requests.
Truly free, forever
Every guide on this site is free. We do not gate content behind paywalls, and you never need a credit card to follow along. The AI tools we teach have free tiers or run fully on your own hardware.
Built for beginners
No prior coding or AI experience assumed. Every guide starts from a blank terminal and walks you through each step with the exact commands to copy and paste.
Privacy-first
Wherever possible we show you how to run AI locally on your own machine, so your code and data never leave your computer. APIs are an option, not a requirement.
Open-source friendly
We focus on open-source models and tools — Llama, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, Ollama, Continue.dev — so you are never locked into a single vendor.
